Chinese A1.1 STANDARD
You are a beginner who wants to make progress in learning Chinese and have enough time to commit to a standard course.
By the end of this course, you will be familiar with:
- The rules and specifics of the language
- The characters
- The phonetics: the pinyin and the tones
Assuming regular attendance and independent study, you should be able to do the following in writing and in speech by the end of this course:
- Meet and greet a person, and state your personal details
- Introduce yourself in a simple way and introduce someone else
- Exchange simple information on the family, work, outings, etc.
By the end of this course, you should:
- Master some 150 characters
A standard course based on schemes of work (2 100-minute classes a week, for about 15 weeks)
For oral communication, priority is given to pair work and work in the class plenum. Learners participate actively both inside and outside the classroom.
