Chinese B1.1 Standard

TARGET AUDIENCE

You have some knowledge of the language (level A2), want to make progress in learning Chinese and have enough time to commit to a standard course.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Assuming regular attendance and independent study, you should be able to do the following by the end of this course:

• Talk about your habits
• Describe your personal and professional environment
• Talk about the past: childhood memories, anecdotes, events, life history
• Express opinions, express agreement or disagreement

By the end of this course, you should:

• Master some 800 characters

COURSE TYPE

A standard course based on schemes of work (2 100-minute classes a week, for about 15 weeks)

METHODOLOGY

For oral communication, priority is given to pair work and work in the class plenum. Learners participate actively both inside and outside the classroom.

EVALUATION

Learners will be assessed continuously throughout the semester or on the basis of a final test at the end of each semester. They will receive a certificate outlining their level in the four skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking).
