Spanish C1.2 Workshop Blended Learning

TARGET AUDIENCE

You have achieved the level C1.1 of Spanish and wish to further improve your Spanish on the upper-intermediate level.

Blended-learning classes and workshops are aimed at people who have access to IT material connected to the internet and that they can use without difficulty. Good word-processing skills as well as being familiar with and willing to use apps and online platforms are prerequisites in order to be able to follow one of these courses.

Reading comprehension, written production, listening comprehension, and spoken production.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES


By the end of this course, and depending on your personal work, you should be able to, both in writing and speaking:

  • Manage complex communication situations, mediating conflicts, interpreting misunderstandings, and using humor or reformulation appropriately according to context.
  • Express your ideas, emotions, opinions, and hypotheses with nuance, providing arguments, evaluating or softening criticism, and following the norms of both formal and spontaneous speech.
  • Actively participate in debates and discussions on topics such as identity, art, gastronomy, social life, or the organization of shared spaces.
  • Use advanced grammatical structures (subjunctive, indirect speech, comparisons, conditionals, concessives, verbal periphrases…) to express conditions, causes, consequences, or hypotheses.
  • Employ a rich and precise vocabulary related to communication, emotions, culture, urban environments, health, and food, adapting the language to the appropriate register and context.

TYPE OF COURSE


A standard Blended Learning workshop (2 courses of 100 minutes per week):

  • There will be one weekly 100-minute face-to-face session at the INL.
  • The student will have to devote another 100-minute session a week to autonomous learning, using the online material provided by the teacher.
  • Email or chat communication with the teacher will be possible at set times.
  • Exchanges with other students from the group will also be encouraged.
  • based on a syllabus and a scheme of work
  • all learners are assessed and will be issued a certificate outlining their skills level at the end of the course.

Recent and engaging textbooks and teaching methods based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
Authentic materials.

ASSESSMENT


A workshop is not subject to evaluations and therefore does not provide a skills assessment
