TARGET AUDIENCE
You have a minimum speaking skill level A2.2 and you wish to discover Francophone culture(s), share its traditions, customs, and way of life, while strengthening your communication skills.
You wish to deepen your knowledge and improve your spontaneous oral expression, develop intercultural skills essential for their integration (into social and professional life in a French-speaking context), and create social connections in a caring, respectful, multilingual, and multicultural environment.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
At the end of the workshop, and depending on your independent work, you should be able to do the following:
- Better understand and discuss cultural differences in a simple way.
- Use basic expressions to talk about culture, customs, and traditions.
- Develop intercultural communication skills appropriate for the B1 level.
METHODOLOGY
In this workshop, you will discover various aspects of French-speaking culture, through which you will be encouraged to share your experiences, make comparisons, or express your opinions through a variety of media (photos, videos, songs, press articles, etc.).
Real-life or simulated scenarios (intercultural scenarios, role-playing, mini-projects) will allow you to develop your intercultural communication skills (active listening, the ability to adapt your communication according to the context, better understanding of others, and personal reflection on your identity and cultural values).
The tasks to be completed will take various forms, such as preparing an intercultural meal, comparing traditional festivals, organizing a group outing, preparing a cultural survival guide for a newcomer, managing a cultural misunderstanding, etc.
Pair work and work in the class plenum.
TYPE DE COURS
This workshop (once a week, for one semester):
– is based on the skills outlined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
– is intended for people who want to maintain their language level or progress at a more relaxed pace. There might be additional work required outside of the classroom.
Learners are not assessed. No certificate outlining the skills level will be issued and the re-registration in a higher level course is not possible.
