French A2.1-A2.2 PHON PHONETICS INITIATION WORKSHOP

TARGET AUDIENCE

You have achieved at least a A2.2 level in spoken French. You want to express yourself better orally and to overcome phonetic difficulties by benefiting from advice for good pronunciation (e.g. differentiate when listening and pronouncing certain sounds such as u/ou, e/é/è, un/en/on, etc.)

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Assuming regular attendance and independent study, you should be able to do the following by the end of this workshop:

– Recognize and produce sounds: refine your listening and improve your pronunciation.

– Work on intonation, liaisons and accentuation: the trio that provides the melody of the French language.

METHODOLOGY

Pair work and work in the class plenum.

A workshop:

– is based on the skills outlined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)

– is intended for people who want to maintain their language level or progress at a more relaxed pace. There might be additional work required outside of the classroom.
