French A1 INTENS Intensive course for professional purposes

TARGET AUDIENCE

You do not speak French at all, apart from a few basic words such as "Bonjour" and "Au revoir" and you are already literate in a Roman language.

You are ready to devote a minimum of 2 hours a day to learning outside of class for socio-professional integration.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Assuming regular attendance and independent study, you should achieve the level A1 by the end of this course.

You should be able to do the following:

– Introduce yourself

– Introduce someone

– Talk about your tastes and hobbies

– Talk about your daily life and exchange information on the subject

– Suggest an outing/Make an appointment

– Communicate very simply in everyday life.

METHODOLOGY

Pair work and work in the class plenum.

COURSE TYPE

This course (about 8 weeks) offers a combination of classroom and distance learning:

4 times a week: a 200-minute face-to-face lesson at the INL.

+ 4 times a week: approximately 100 minutes of independent work on the online material provided by the teacher.

Both courses are compulsory and complementary.

The course:

– is based on the work schemes drawn up on the basis of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)

– is intended for learners who are autonomous (internet research) and who are ready to invest some time outside of the classroom to develop their work and life skills.

All learners are assessed and will be issued a certificate outlining their skills level

EVALUATION

Learners will be assessed continuously throughout the semester and on the basis of a final oral test. They will receive a certificate outlining their level in the four skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking).
