German B2.3-C1 WORKSHOP LITERATURE AND CULTURE FROM 1900 TO TODAY

TARGET AUDIENCE

You have achieved B2.2 level of German.

SKILLS TAUGHT

Reading, writing, listening and speaking.

METHODOLOGY

Group work, pair work and work in the class plenum.

- Reading and analysis: reading short literary works, articles and essays.

- Discussion: Regular group discussions on the themes of the course.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

This course is aimed at advanced learners of German who wish to deepen their knowledge of the language at B2.3-C1 level.

- Discover well-known and lesser-known writers from different periods of German literature.

- Be able to understand, analyse and interpret literary texts.

- Understand newspaper articles and audio and video reports on themes relating to the history of Germany in the 20th and 21st centuries, the development of its society or its key figures, and express themselves orally and in writing on these subjects.

- Improving language skills to level B2.3-C1.

- Development of presentation and discussion skills.

- Ability to analyse and discuss complex texts (in all skills).

A Workshop course (100-minute class a week)– based on a syllabus and a scheme of workCOURSE MATERIALS

Up-to-date material in relation to German as a foreign language, corresponding to the levels B2 and C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

EVALUATION

Learners are not assessed and no certificate outlining the skills level will be issued.
