Luxembourgish A2.1 Compact combined
TARGET AUDIENCE
Anyone who has achieved level A1, wants to make quick progress in learning Luxembourgish and has enough time to commit to a compact language course, is interested in developing their oral and written communication skills in the language offered, and who is in possession of a suitable computer (a PC, tablet or laptop) which is connected to the internet, and which the learner is able to use productively.
The course participant has good word-processing skills (i.e. is able to use MS Office, emails, etc.) as well as the ability and willingness to use various applications, as well as ‘cloud’ and online sharing platforms, which are necessary to take these courses.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
Assuming regular attendance and independent study, you should achieve the level A2.1 of the CEFR by the end of this course.
You should be able to do the following in writing and in speech:
• Exchange information on everyday matters: introduce yourself and others, talk about your activities, your health, your surroundings (home, hobbies, shops, travel, holidays, etc.)
• Describe and compare places (town, neighbourhood, accommodation, etc.), people, things
• Ask and give advice and directions
COURSE TYPE
This course alternates between classroom and distance learning:
- twice a week: a 50-minute face-to-face class (in-class) at INLL
- twice a week: a 50-minute distance and live class via the Teams platform or Zoom
The 4 courses are compulsory and complementary.
This course is:
– based on work plans developed from the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
– subject to evaluations and gives the learner the option of a skills assessment.

EVALUATION
Learners will be assessed on the basis of a final test at the end of each semester. They will receive a certificate outlining their level in the four skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking).
